The International cinematic E-Magazine is a quarterly E-Magazine, run by a group of Moroccan researchers and students residing in different parts of the world, including Morocco, France and the United States.  The aim of the magazine is to offer prolific discussions and analysis on various national cinemas. The ICM dedicates each issue to one particular cinema, covers national and international film festivals as well as provides reviews on newly-released films.

ICM’s first issue was all dedicated to Moroccan cinema, and it provided a fresh trajectory on the development and the history of Moroccan cinema. The first issue also included interviews with Moroccan cinema critics and film professionals in addition to critical analysis of key Moroccan films.

ICM’s second issue would cover themes related to different Asian cinemas that span Japan, Korea, China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Iran, and Turkey. This issue would tackle subjects pertaining to traditional versus modern cinematographic practices in Asia, Asian film production, distribution, and consumption, as well as politics, poetics, and ethics in Asian cinemas. ICM’s second issue will see light at the beginning of August, 2012.

It should be noted that though ICM’s board mainly consists of Moroccan members, ICM receives contributions from students and researchers from different parts of the world, which serves its purpose of offering both distinct and diverse discussions on national cinemas.
