In addition to our popular Cooking School, Cafe Clock is also pleased to present a course in bread baking. Led by one of our expert chefs, this three hour adventure provides exposure to one of the most traditional Moroccan rituals. Khobz (bread) is the main staple of the average Moroccan’s diet, and thus holds a special place in the culture.
Participants in this workshop will learn about the history of various Moroccan breads and their roles in various celebrations. After deciding which bread to make, our guests begin their work in a private kitchen. After the preparation is complete, it’s time to go to the ferran (public oven). Attached to the mosque and hammam (public baths), this is where the community comes to have their goods baked. The day ends with everyone enjoying the fruits of their labor – eating the wonderful bread they have prepared!
This unique course is available to everyone, and costs 400dh per person. Please contact us for more information or to reserve your place.
