The Moroccan Association of Friends of English

Did you realize there is a unique academic organization here which is dedicated to promoting the learning and use of English? And did you know they are also interested in cultivating cross-cultural understanding and appreciation?

Well,“The Moroccan Association of Friends of English”  wants to gather all those ‘friends of English’ together in forums, educational programs, excursions, cultural programs and any other form of idea exchange to help their fellow Moroccans become more friendly with the English language. Their main goal is to enhance the learning process by bringing students of English, teachers and native speakers who live in Morocco together to exchange ideas, experience and thoughts. They are dedicated to ‘action learning’.

The Moroccan Association of Friends of English (MAFE) has nearly 1,500 friends on Facebook. Check them out and join if you, too, are a friend of English. There is also a website at www.mafe.on.ma/ for information about the organization, scheduled activities, forums and more. They seem to have something for everyone and many opportunities to practice your English with native speakers.

Right now, there is an English writing competition going on. Café Clock would love to receive entries to this competition and possibly publish them on this blog. If you’d like more information about the competition and take a step toward your future as a contributing writer for our blog, contact MAFE for details, either through Facebook or their website.

Write on MAFE!!!
